Samantha Osman
Samantha is Head of Legal and Compliance of Ascalon Capital Managers. She is Continuum's Compliance Officer, provides legal advice and is Continuum's company secretary.
Samantha has over 6 years of experience in the funds management industry. Samantha is responsible for legal, compliance and risk of the Ascalon business and provides company secretariat, legal and compliance advice and support to the Ascalon stable of managers as required.
Samantha has broad experience within all facets of the funds management industry having worked for industry participants, the regulator and in private practice.
Prior to joining Ascalon, Samantha was Legal Counsel for BT Financial Group (and BTIM) having worked on the restructure and listing of BT’s wholesale management business, BT Investment Management and providing legal advice and support at both the investment and organisational levels for the new boutique during its growth phase. Samantha joined BTFG in 2007 after having worked at Perennial Investment Partners as the Legal and Compliance Manager where Samantha was responsible for all legal and compliance (regulatory and investment) matters reporting directly to IOOF and the Perennial Board. Samantha has technical and policy experience in financial services acquired during her time at ASIC in the Financial Services Directorate for 2 years and Piper Alderman for 3 years before moving to Perennial.
Samantha has a LLB/BA (Hons) and is a practising Solicitor.
